| If you're using the 64-bit version of Live, make sure you install only the 64-bit version of Sylenth1. Use the 32-bit version of Sylenth1 only if you're using the 32-bit version of Live. In order to properly load and register Sylenth1, open Ableton in 'Administrator Mode'. To do so, right-click Ableton and choose 'Run as Administrator' and click 'Yes'. When Ableton opens, select 'Options' in the menu bar and choose 'Preferences'. In the preferens window select the 'File Folder' tab. Under 'Plug-in Sources' make sure the option 'Use VST Plug-In Custom Folder' is switched On. Click 'Browse' and select the VST folder where you installed Sylenth1. Now Sylenth1 should be listed in the Plug-ins list. Double-click 'Sylenth1' to load it. The full version of Sylenth1 will ask you to activate Sylenth1 when it's started for the first time. Very new to ableton also, been at it for not even a month - just keep posting, watching tutorials, and youtube videos and youll get it. It all starts making sense after a few weeks of putting in hours.
